Support regarding treatment options
 |
| Robert Fieldhouse discussing new medications |
Many people are understandably concerned about the treatment
and medication which so often form such a key role in the
lives of individuals with HIV. Our role is to offer information
and support, both to the receiver of the treatment and to
his or her carers. If you need one to one support to discuss
your particular concerns, or if you are thinking of starting
treatment, we can provide a one-to-one support session with
the HIV Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Support from peers
If you wish you can meet other people living with HIV by
coming along to our drop-in sessions, group sessions or social
activities. You may get a great deal of benefit from talking
to others about how they are coping with the virus, medications,
and problems encountered because of their status. Anything
discussed in the Centre is subject to our confidentiality
policy.

other carers. We run a support group for the carers, parents,
partners and family of HIV positive people. Please contact
us to see when the group next meets.
