Equal Opportunities
Policy
The Ribbons Drop In Centre is striving to be an equal opportunities
employer. It is our aim that no one using the Centre will
be discriminated against, whether they are a volunteer, paid
worker or user of the Centre.
There will be no discrimination tolerated in this organisation
on grounds of:
• Race, colour, nationality, or ethnic or national
origin.
• Religion or creed.
• Physical or mental disability.
• Gender
• Marital status.
• Sexual preference or orientation.
• HIV status.
• Immigration status
• “Spent” court convictions (subject to
the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974).
• Age
Selection criteria and procedures will be reviewed to ensure
that individuals are selected and treated on the basis of
their relevant merits and abilities. All volunteers will have
an equal opportunity to progress both within and outside the
organisation.
The Ribbons Centre is committed to a programme of action
to make this policy effective. The policy will be brought
to the attention of all volunteers, staff and service users.
